BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The state ethics board slapping a fine on Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne's campaign. The fine is for collecting money over the legal limit for contributions.

According to reports, while running for Lieutenant Governor, the Dardenne campaign took seven thousand dollars in donations from seven different contributors. The legal limit is $5,000.

The reports go on to say the Lieutenant Governor was not involved in the management of campaign finances.
