Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Less than one day after Mayor Holden's bond proposal was shot down, the Metro Council approving the first steps at forming a crime fighting committee.
The goal of the group is to work with key law enforcemcent professionals to see what their needs are, and if they suggest put together a bond proposal.
The same council, in an 8-2 vote, rejected Holden's request to put this $750 million proposal on the November ballot.
