You can’t visit the sinkhole in Bayou Corne, but Louisiana has a lot of other tourist destinations and with all the reality shows filmed here, it's a destination a lot of people want to cross off their bucket list.

That’s why our state has partnered with Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and National Geographic to launch a website and mobile app dedicated to our unique tourist destinations.

The site features a map with more than 1,600 "can't miss" destinations like: West Monroe or down on the bayou, for a true, authentic gulf coast experience.

Spearheading Louisiana's commitment to the project was Lt. Governor Jay Dardene who said the website is, "an opportunity to showcase to the world, the unique places and experiences offered in the Gulf Coast states. Alabama, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi share a coast, but have diverse cultures not found anywhere else on Earth.”

The website took over a year to develop.
