For the blue team's Carole Walker being over weight is something she's struggled with for a long time. When Carole's mother died a few months ago from complications with her weight, Carole decided to get back in shape once and for all.

"Being able to go into the stores and buy a size smaller," said Carole Walker. "I love that. that's a good feeling."

Carole's friends say she is constantly taking care of other people, and now it's her time.

"It's not just about losing the weight for Carole." said co-worker and friend Ericka Lavender. "It's a lifestyle change and being able to feel like yes, it's time to take care of herself."

At the end of month one Carole lost her personal trainer Greg. She didn't stop let that her from hitting the gym. Carole goes to Bally Total Fitness four days a week.

"I'm still trying to get into the routine of weight lifting on my own," said Walker. " I always fear I'm not doing it right."

Carole also walks with friends twice a week. Carole's friends even keep an eye on her diet.

"When she's not monitoring it I am," said Lavender. "I'm like the that little person on her shoulder like no when she orders something. Then she'll change up her order."

Carole says she's kept diet dishes tasty by adding lots of spice, but there is one food group she cant tolerate to taste.

"I'm pretty much sick of vegetables," said Walker. "If I eat one more thing of broccoli I'm going to die."

On the days Carole feels like giving in to fatigue and doesn't think she can make it; Carole's friends say she always find the will to push forward.

"It's funny for her to say that, because each week she is increasing her weight," said Lavender. "Like the number of pushups she can do. She's up to running 10 minutes now."
