BATON ROUGE,LA (NBC33) — Audio engineer Rebekah Worrell started losing it in Louisiana at a 148 pounds. Now she's working hard to drop the weight and get fit. Along side her bally fitness trainer Lake Johnson.
Rebekah spends five days training and one day doing just cardio.
But the reason she's joined the program isn't cosmetic. Family plays a huge role in her life and she wants to lose weight for them.
" I'm Almost thirty," said Worrell. "I'd like to be more healthy my nieces are little and i have a third niece on the way. I want to make sure I'm here as long as I can possibly be for them."
Worrell's family has been helping her through the process and even calling her out on what sweet treat she should avoid.
"I think it's that you can't drink coke and Doctor Pepper an stuff,"said Worrell's niece Krista Iglehart.
The self proclaimed fast food fanatic turned over a new leaf eating lots of healthy sandwiches and reading nutrition labels thanks to Lake Johnson.
"Cut out 500 calories a everyday for a week that's a pound of fat off a week," Said Lake Johnson. "She's working out really hard everyday and cutting it out of her diet. So, she's probably losing one and a half to two pounds a week."
The pink team does a lot of unique exercises to help keep Rebekah motivated. And whether she's running, jumping or crawling through the workout Rebekah never quits.
"You get a lot of people who stop when it doesn't feel good she stops when her body literally makes her stop," said Lake Johnson.
