Losing It In Louisiana: Elimination Episode One

BATON ROUGE,LA (NBC33) — ‘Losing in Louisiana’ contestants James N., Carole, Rebekah, James H., Anita and Kris began their weight loss journey at a combined weight of 1,404 pounds.
After month of pushing themselves to the limit the contestants lost a combined total of 57 pounds.
‘Losing it in Louisiana’ is a competition not just about weight loss but about living a healthier life style.
Contestants compete each month to stay in the competition and to keep their personal trainer. But what you see on the scale may not be enough to save you.
Green team contestant James Henry came in at 258 pounds weighed in at 235 pounds that’s minus 23 pounds.
“You don’t really know the number and then you see it,” said Henry, “And, it’s shocking to think about 10 percent of your weight in a month. “
Anita Katzman with the yellow team’s dropped from 219 pounds to 209 pounds. “It wasn't coming off very quickly,” said Katzman. “I wasn't expecting 10 pounds."
The pink teams Rebekah Worrell is down to 144 pounds. "It's been awesome a lot of hard work and dedication,” said Worrell. “But I've been enjoying it."
Carole Walker with the blue team gained five pounds. Walker said, "I feel better. I can definitely last longer than I did the first day."
The Orange team’s James Newman started at 256 pounds. Now he’s six pounds lighter at 250 pounds.
“I have noticed a lot of fat burned off ,” said Newman. “My clothes fit a lot better, and I feel a lot better overall.”
Representing the red team I lost a grand total of 20 pounds putting me at 216 pounds.
This month’s social media winner is James Newman. He has immunity for this elimination.
“He’s a great person,” said Walker. “He helped me with my diet what’s good what’s not good. It’s really been helpful overall. So, I really appreciate him. I’ll still carry on everything he taught me.”
