Losing it in LA

Train the trainers went off without a hitch. However, I didn't think about the possibility of retribution. I may have overheard the discussion of possible nausea. I also received an offer one of the trainers to train me for free as a way of saying "thank you." If I'm being honest, I don't think the trainer really wanted to use the work "thank" there. Needless to say, I declined the generous offer.

This week we got to 'train the trainers' and it was very fun! It was funny to see our trainers on the other side of training. It was definitely a fun experience.

Doing the train the trainer was a fun time. I don't think we came anywhere close to giving our trainers a challenge, they still enjoyed it and saw that they have trained us all well.

I went for another check up last week with my physician and she was very excited about my progress. My blood pressure was normal and my sugar levels were down so that was something I really wanted to hear because it means that my hard work continues to pay off well beyond the weight loss. In addition to that, I'm just amazed at how my decision to get healthy has affected others in a positive way even people I don't know. Last night I was in Winn Dixie picking up a few items after working out (sweaty and not smelling too goo) and two women who recognized me from being on TV approached me about what they should to lose weight. Being able to share my story with them was nice and I hope that I influenced them to take that first step towards getting healthy.

My weight loss this month can be described as in a rut. I’m stuck not gaining or losing weight. I want the pounds to fly off, so I can look as good as I feel. I had a lot of fun doing train the trainers. It was finally a way for me to show Carlos how a dance routine can be a good workout. I love this program and the people in it, including trainers, are awesome!

My goal was 50 by 40. 50 pounds by my 40th birthday, and while I'm making some major progress, I probably won't exactly hit the number 50 by then. But I know I've gained muscle, so if I hit the 50 by Christmas, I would still be really happy with that! I've gone down 2 pant sizes and have mastered the squat. Never thought I would be saying those things 6 months ago. I challenged myself and did squats with 50 pounds. Then I did my first pull-up. Pull-ups are the hardest things ever. After that, I couldn't use my arms or legs, but I just read that quote about pain: Pain is weakness leaving the body.
