Losing it in LA

Carole Walker writes:

It's been a little over a month and I'm starting to feel more confident about my weight. My family and friends have noticed the difference too and I hear comments like, "you're slimming down" so that really makes me feel good about being a part of this program. I'll be turning 41 on Wednesday and it will be the first time I'll be celebrating a birthday without getting that very early morning phone call from my mama, she always wanted to make sure she was the first one to call. It won't be easy, but I'll definitely have a reason to smile that day because I know that she would be so proud of me and what I'm doing in regards to getting healthy. Believe it or not when I find myself struggling through the workouts I can always hear her voice saying, "come on baby girl, you can do it" and that's all the motivation I need to keep pushing.  

James Henry writes:

I was prepared to write something funny about Erik having the meanness of someone twice his size, but that all changed tonight. While he was putting me through my paces, we were talking, and he mentioned that he has a thing for redheads (which my beautiful wife is one). He said that when he saw my wife, he thought to himself that I had done well. He’s wrong. I did amazing! I couldn’t have done better. If I needed anymore motivation, she was it. What I’m trying to say is that if you won’t get healthy for yourself, look around at the ones who love you and do it for them! For everything they give to you (love, support, devotion), you can do this one thing for them! 

James Newman writes:

I have been so impressed with the support and help of all the staff (including the trainers of the other contestants) at Bally. Everybody there always has a smile on their face, answers any questions that I have, and if they have time to spare will sit and chat for a few minutes. The atmosphere is always so upbeat and friendly. I feel so lucky to be a part of this program. 

Rebekah Worrell writes:

This past week of working out was awesome! I can tell working out is not just changing me on the outside but it has also changing me on the inside. I find myself more happy and motivated to get more done in my daily life. I am so thankful for this opportunity. It has really changed my whole life. 

Anita Katzman writes: 

Wow, I never knew some things could get harder and easier at the same time. The intensity of the workouts is more, but I'm in less pain. My trainer, Justin, said my balance and walk has improved and I'll take that over a smaller number on the scale any day. I want to thank Bally's for letting us work with other people, when it comes to their specialty. Erik worked with me in the Pilates room and it was a great addition to my personal training. You can really make some changes with the right help, if you don't give up. 

Kris Cusanza writes: 

I have found my bliss at the gym. Carlos has me doing boxing work outs. It's so much fun. I feel kind of like Rocky sometimes, but it's ok.  The biggest dilema for me this week was to eat more crawfish or to stop.  I love crawfish. I love crawfish so much I'd eat 90 pounds. But I decided that Carlos would never forgive me if I came to workout on Tuesday 15 pounds heavier from all that salt.
