Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — An East Baton Rouge parish woman is suing Facebook.

According to reports, the lawsuit claims Facebook is breaking wiretap laws.

The suit says laws are being broken because of a tracing cookie that records online activity even when users aren't logged onto Facebook.

It's not the first suit of it's kind.

They've been filed in several other states including California

A Facebook rep says the lawsuit is quote "without merit".
