Some families in the capital area received a little extra help this Thanksgiving. Volunteers delivered over 250 turkey dinners to families in need.

It's the sixteenth year for the Dinner Bells Program. What started out as change in a jar, now feeds hundreds of people all over the city. The program, sponsered by Honeywell, brings out volunteers from all over Baton Rouge. Even Mayor Kip Holden made a few hand-deliveries.

It may not be a permanent fix, but volunteers say these turkey dinners are a small gesture that makes a big difference.
