Zachary to hold prescription drug drop-off

Zachary, La (NBC33) — On December 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Zachary Police Department will be holding "Operation: Medicine Cabinet".
The event allows citizens to drop off unwanted or expired medicine for safe disposal.
A free bowl of jambalaya will be given away with each drop-off.
Here are a list or accepted and non-accepted drugs:
Accepted: Any prescription drug of medicine used for people or pets, including pills, liquids, inhalers, patches and Epi-Pens.
Not Accepted: No Syringes or medical equipment.
Liquid medication: Secure bottle caps with tape
Other options: You can also drop off medicine in the Rx drop box in the Florida Street entrance of Zachary Police Department (24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
Medicine will be safely disposed of by incineration.
