WEATHER- Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 88. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
LOCAL NEWS- A Pastor and her sister have been accused of setting their own 'million dollar home' on fire. Deputies in Livingston Parish are looking for a thief, and the truck he stole from a Denham Springs home. While Governor Jindal has gone on the record saying the President's Health Care Law is 'not affordable', DHH Officials have until today to figure out how they are going to cut 850 million dollars from the Medicaid budget. According to numbers being released by the State, the number of parents looking to take advantage of the new school voucher system is a lot higher than anyone expected.
NATIONAL NEWS- Romney tried to curry favor with African-American voters when he spoke at the NAACP Convention in Houston.
