WEATHER-Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 7am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 89. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

LOCAL NEWS-A Natchez oil company is to blame for an oil spill in the Mississippi River near Point Coupee Parish. A Naptha chemical leak at ExxonMobil Baton Rouge is said to be under control this morning. That marks two problems in as many days for ExxonMobil Baton Rouge. Lee High School in Baton Rouge will reopen this Fall. A suspected drunk driver that rear ended a log truck Wednesday night may not make it. The 59 year old was not wearing his seatbelt and had life threatening injuries. Texas con man Allen Stanford will spend the rest of his life behind bars. A Federal Judge in Houston sentenced him to 110 years in prison.
