TRAFFIC- There's an accident at N. Foster and North St as well as traffic congestion on I-12 W at Drusilla. Be careful, buckle up, and stay safe on the roads this morning.
WEATHER- Temperatures start out in the 40's this morning so you may want to grab a light jacket as you head out the door. However today is expected to be mostly sunny and warm with a high of 76.
LOCAL NEWS- Walter Fort, the suspect wanted in a weekend shooting on I-110 was captured in Houston, TX. He is currently in a Harris County jail. BRPD is still looking for the person who shot 25 year-old Jeremy Stewart in the 1700 block of Columbus Dunn early yesterday morning. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Stewart did not survive his injuries. If you have any information in this case, please call Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP. Also, McKinley High School student Creshawn Odell was arrested and booked into Parish prison when he was found to have a loaded 9mm in his pocket at school. He is charged with illegally carrying a gun on school property and possession of marijuana.
REGIONAL NEWS- Former Saint Gabriel Mayor George Grace is facing more than 100 years behind bars after being convicted on seven felony charges on Saturday. Those charges include bribery, racketeering, wire and mail fraud. He was immediately handcuffed and taken into custody on Saturday and today he will face Judge Maureen Hicks at ten a.m.to determine whether or not he can go home until his sentencing on July 2.
