TRAFFIC- No traffic issues to tell you about so far this morning. Buckle up and drive safely this morning.

WEATHER- Currently it is 71 degrees outside. Get ready for a mostly cloudy day with a high of 82 and a 30 percent chance of rain. Tonight that rain chance goes up to 70 percent with an overnight low of 57.

LOCAL NEWS- Violence sweeps through Louisiana's two largest cities yesterday. In Baton Rouge last night, a local woman is shot and killed in her car in the 2800 block of Washington Ave. and a BRPD officer was shot in the chest just before midnight last night. Luckily his vest protected him from being hurt but the bullet did destroy a microphone on the officer's collar. The suspected shooter was caught and is in jail. Also, in New Orleans last night, two Police officers were shot. The shooter is dead and the officers are expected to be in intensive care for at least three days.
