GONZALES, La (NBC33) — Women learned all the basics of fishing on Sunday, July 24 in Gonzales.

Cabela's and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries teamed up to teach them everything from the right way to use a fishing rod to how to clean and identify fish.

This was the first time that Cabela's and the Louisiana Department of Fisheries have had this women's fishing course.
