BATON ROUGE, LA — Woman’s Hospital and Red Stick Farmers will offer a cornucopia of locally grown fall fruits and vegetables and fresh baked goods on Tuesday, November 5 from 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Woman’s Way and Rue de la Vie (Woman’s Campus).
The market is Woman’s first venture in farmer’s market offerings, and it supports the hospital’s health initiative as well as the local economy.
Another holiday market is planned for December. Support local farmers by purchasing fall produce, locally canned items, jams, jellies and honey, meats and baked goods.
Kids can enjoy face painting and fall activities, while parents can observe cooking demonstrations using the produce for sale. Cash, credit, debit, senior coupons (FMNP), WIC coupons and Louisiana Purchase Cards (EBT) are gladly accepted.
