Water pressure may be an issue in LaPlace and Reserve as water system is tested
LAPLACE, LA (NBC33) — The St. John the Baptist Parish Utilities Department will begin testing the connection of the LaPlace water system to the St. Charles Parish water system on Wednesday, November 13 and will continue through Thursday, November 14. This connection will allow the LaPlace water system to receive approximately 1 million gallons of water per day from St. Charles Parish in the event of an emergency in the Ruddock Water System. During this time an additional back-up connection to the Lyons water system in Reserve will also be tested.
As a result of the system testing, water customers in LaPlace and Reserve may experience a fluctuation in water pressure through Thursday, November 14. Please call 985-651-6800 to report any issues or concerns during this testing process.
