As school comes to an end, don't throw out those old or outgrown uniforms. Now until the end of the month, you can donate them!

The need in Walker for school uniforms is very high, so the Walker Police Department is holding the “Our Uniform to Yours" drive. They encourage all parents to look through their kids closets and donate unwanted uniforms to he big blue bins.

The bins are along walker road outside a few different stores. This is the ninth year this has been held and the police department hopes to get more donations than ever.

"The need in the parish seems to be a little bit greater this year form the things that were hearing - so we would like to do better and as many as we can get we will take," said Walker Police Capt. John Sharp.

You can also donate cash so they can purchase needed sizes. There will also be a drive at the Walker Wal-Mart Saturday, June 1, from 10 to 2 to raise money to purchase more uniforms.
