NEW IBERIA, LA (NBC33) — UPDATE: A representative for loved ones of Mark S. Flores provided this update at 6:00 p.m., "Mark Flores has been found safe. He left on his own accord and was never in any immediate danger. Thank you so much for putting out this story. We all appreciate it. No clues or hints were left that he planned to leave."

ORIGINAL: The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking information about a missing person who was last seen out jogging in the middle of the afternoon.

We’re told that Mark Flores, 40, of San Antonio, TX, was last seen on Tuesday, July 31 at roughly 1:00 p.m. Flores’ girlfriend told deputies that he had left their home on the 4000 block of Forrest Leblanc Road at roughly 1:00 p.m. He left the home to go jogging in the Coteau area.

A description of his clothing could not be provided.

Flores is a Hispanic male and is described as 5’10” tall weighing around 180 lbs. A Facebook page has been set up by family members. Click here to access that page.
