UPDATE: Funeral arrangements are being worked out for Dylon Boudreaux, 18.

Boudreaux's body was found in a ditch in St. Martinville.

He'd just graduated from high school, and was enthusiastic about acting and magic.

Pellerin Funeral Homes will be handling Dylon's funeral arrangements, which will take place at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville.

ORIGINAL STORY: The St. Martinville Police Department say they will not confirm that a body found on Sunday is that of a missing teen. They will only say that the missing person case is still a “pending investigation.”

Officials tell us that Dylon Boudreaux, 18, was reported missing on Tuesday, July 10 after family members say he left the home without his cell phone and without telling anyone where he was going. The last time Boudreaux was heard from was via a post on Facebook in which he simply wrote, “Goodbye.”

On Sunday, July 15, at approximately 1:00 p.m. a body was located just outside of St. Martinville City limits. However, officials have not confirmed the identity of the victim, nor the details of that investigation.

“It’s still a pending investigation,” Sgt. Lance Laviolette, St. Martinville Police Department, said. “A body was found yesterday afternoon at approximately 1 p.m. outside of the St. Martinville city limits. However, it is unconfirmed on who the body is and until we get confirmation, we’re not going to go out and say who it is until we get forensic analysis.”

The investigation of the body found is being handled by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Currently the investigation into the disappearance of Dylon Boudreaux is still open with the St. Martinville Police Department.

Boudreaux was as student at St. Martinville Senior High where he recently graduated with honors. Investigators say Dylon had mentioned to family members that he was considering going to New Orleans for the summer and possibly wanted to go to New York to pursue an acting career.
