PIERRE PART, LA (NBC33) - — A 7-month old baby boy is with relatives after his mother is killed by a boyfriend.

It happened just after 7:30 Wednesday morning in Pierre Part. Deputies say 29 year old Henry Walker Junior shot and killed his girlfriend, 26 year old Heather Granier - then turned the gun on himself.

Deputies say Walker shot himself in the chest and the head - he was taken to a hospital - that's where he died.

Granier died instantly.

Deputies still don't have a motive for the shooting.

The 7 month old is with relatives.
