Tracy Wymer, vice president of Work Place Strategy at Knoll Inc., will be the next speaker in LSU Executive Education’s Breakfast to Business series. This event will be held Tuesday, May 22, at Café Américain from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Café Américain is located at 7521 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge.

As part of the workplace of the future series, Wymer’s presentation, “The Collaborative Workspace of the Future,” will delve into several aspects of the logistics of tomorrow. In many companies, employees are working in an increasingly social, mobile and collaborative fashion. The conventional, boilerplate office programs and spaces that most employees are familiar with were never intended to support the complexity and unpredictability of these new work patterns.

Wymer’s presentation will address those issues and the following topics:

• Drivers impacting the new workspace model
• Generational responses to the new workspace design
• Workplace strategy across industries

“As an international executive with Knoll Inc., Tracy has done extensive research in the changing dynamic of workspace design and how collaborative workspaces are increasingly the format of the future” said LSU Executive Education Director Robin Kistler. “Work environments that foster creativity and collaboration will gain a competitive advantage in the coming years. Tracy’s presentation will be a great introduction to the concepts behind these shifts.”

Registration for the event is $25 per participant, which includes a full breakfast, coffee, juice and the opportunity to meet with LSU experts and business professionals from the Baton Rouge area. LSU students, staff and faculty may register at a reduced rate of $20. Members of SCORE, Louisiana Tech Park, Louisiana Business & Technology Center and the Center for Emerging Technology also receive a reduced event fee of $20. Registration can be completed online at http://www.executive.lsu.edu or directly at http://www.regonline.com/Register/Checkin.aspx?EventID=1091108.

Breakfast to Business is a bi-monthly program presented by LSU Executive Education, which is housed in the LSU Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute. The aim of the program is to provide timely, practical information and solutions regarding current business topics that affect the Baton Rouge community from a local, regional and national perspective.
