Cancer Services will be helping Tin Roof Brewing Co. celebrate American Craft Beer Week with a special Food Truck Friday.

This free event will take place today from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the brewery’s location off Nicholson (1624 Wyoming Street). Food and beer will be available for purchase and proceeds from Tin Roof beer sold at the event will benefit those affected by cancer in the Baton Rouge area.

Created in 2006, the American Craft Beer Week celebrates the culture and community of craft beer, and gives breweries the opportunity to connect with fans. Tin Roof is no stranger to hosting Baton Rouge’s food trucks, but this event is unique. John Peak, Marketing Director for Tin Roof Brewing Co., explains, “We love being a part of this
community. The opportunity to raise money for Cancer Services while celebrating American Craft Beer Week is really something special.” This event is distinctly Baton Rouge: local food trucks at a local brewery benefiting local cancer survivors.

Participating Food Trucks include Taco de Paco, CURBSIDE, Pullin' Pork, Fleur de Licious, Dolce Vita, and Three Bone. A family-friendly event, all ages may attend, though only those 21 years or older can receive a wristband to purchase beer. Live music will be provided by local musician Heath Ransonnet.
