Tangipahoa School Board President and wife in trouble for fraud

HAMMOND, La (NBC33) — The President of the Tangipahoa Parish School Board and his wife out on bond, after a grand jury indicts the pair in a medical fraud scheme.
According to the Attorney General's Office: Eric and Cassandra Dangerfield used their company " 1st Thessalonians Community Program Inc. " in Hammond to siphon money from the Louisiana Medicaid Program.
The defrauding billed the Louisiana Medicaid Program more than $18 million over seven years.
The couple faces several felony charges including conspiracy to commit fraud and money laundering.
Five other relatives of the Dangerfields are also charged with stealing medicaid funds.
The couple turned themselves in Tuesday.
