Louisiana (NBC33) — A new report shows Louisiana is improving when it comes to child well-being, but there's still a lot of work to do.
The Annie E. Casey foundation ranks Louisiana 47th when it comes to well-being of our kids, which is up from last year's ranking, where the state was 49th.
The report is called Kids Counts - it looks at statistics based on family economics, health care, and education.
The report shows a four percent decrease in the number of children living in poverty within the state.
More good news in the report - a 20 percent decrease in the number of high school children not graduating on time.
