Baton Rouge, La — Dr. Beatriz Morales will be the featured speaker at the 24th Annual Kwanzaa Celebration hosted by the Africentric Focus/Maat Study group of Baton Rouge.

Africentric Focus Study Group/Maat is a non-profit organization committed to continuing efforts that promote the upliftment of the community.

Kwanzaa is a celebration of family, community and culture that is celebrated during the seven days starting on December 26.

This years celebration will be held at the Southern University Cotillion Ballroom at 7:00 p.m. on Friday December 28, which is the third day of Kwanzaa. On this day the focus is on the 3rd principle, Ujima or Collective Work and Responsibility.
