BATON ROUGE,LA (NBC33) — Thousands of shoppers making their way to stores all across the Capitol City to find the best deals.
"Jeans for $15 and the graphic tees for $5 and the underwater camera. It's a nice Kodak underwater camera to go with it. So, you can't beat it. It's a great deal," says shopper Josh Arnold.
With the great deals on everything from appliances to electronics, it's no wonder that more than 150 million people make their way out on Black Friday to find those great deals. They say it's worth the wait in line to get the deals that they want.
"It's all about the sales, save a lot of money, got all of the Christmas shopping done...just great prices. To sacrifice one night at home and come out drink a lot of coffee and do a lot of shopping," says Josh Arnold.
Josh Arnold isn't alone. Macy's Manager Stuart Bailey says sales at his store have been brisk.
"We are doing awesome. We opened with about 400 people at the door. We had 250 specials this year and this is our first midnight opening. It looks like it's an outstanding Black Friday for us at midnight."
WIth all of the great deals to be had, shoppers say they'll be back again next year.
"I'll say that the Black Friday experience is not for everyone, but I enjoy. It's not that cold. I think it's kind of fun. I come ready to play," says shopper Keturah Green
