Roughly a dozen agencies are back on the scene this morning continuing their search for a missing Baton Rouge firefighter.

Jacob Lewis, 28, went missing around 3:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the Belle River Landing, which is located on the Intercoastal Spillway. The search for Lewis continued through the day, and continued at first light Thursday morning.

Kurt Monte with the Baton Rouge Fire Department told NBC33 News that Lewis was out with his wife scouting for locations to set crawfish traps when the incident occurred. We’re told his wife was in the truck and he was hitching the boat to the truck. She told officials that the last thing he said was “call 911” and then he went missing.

NBC33's Alex Deiro is at the scene and is tracking this story. We'll have more information as it becomes available.
