School supply collection event to be held in Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge, La — The Most Worshipful National Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Ancient York Masons Prince Hall-Origin National Compact, one of the oldest and continuous Masonic Organizations serving the African-American community for 165 years, will meet in Baton Rouge from July 5-11, 2012 with 500 delegates attending from twenty-seven states.
This year, the goal of the organization is to reach out to the needy, focusing primarily on youth. School supplies have been collected from members across the country to donate to needy students in the school district of Baton Rouge, LA.
The opening session will be held Saturday, July 7, at 10:00 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, where the donation of school supplies will be presented to East Baton Rouge’s School Board representative, Sonya Gordon.
