Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — A project to cut down traffic congestion near LSU is in the works.
At the intersection of Nicholson and Brightside, plans are being looked at to add a left-hand turning lane. Public works officials say this intersection is known for traffic backups when cars are stuck trying to turn left.
The project will cost about $10 million and will be covered mostly by federal money.
Design plans should be completed soon and the project is expected to go out to bid by October.
