Road construction to close lanes of I-10

Baton Rouge, La — The following closures will be in place the night of Wednesday, February 29, starting at 9:00 p.m. with lanes reopening Thursday by 5:00 a.m.
Westbound I-10 in Baton Rouge will be reduced to one lane from Bluebonnet Boulevard to Essen Lane for paving operations.
The Westbound Picardy frontage road will be reduced to one lane from Mall of Louisiana Boulevard to Bluebonnet Boulevard for paving operations.
Northbound and southbound Essen Lane at I-10 in Baton Rouge will each be reduced to one lane for bridge work.
Eastbound I-10 in baton rouge will be reduced to one lane from the I-10/I-12 split to Essen Lane for pavement repair. These closures will allow vehicles 11-feet wide or less to pass through the construction zone.
I-10 eastbound will be open for regular traffic, but oversize vehicles traveling east on I-10 must detour to I-12 at the 10/12 split, travel east along I-12, and use exit 2a (US-61 South / Airline Highway).
Oversize vehicles traveling west on I-12 must detour using exit 2a (US-61 South / Airline Highway).
Diverted traffic will be able to reach I-10 by traveling south along US-61 until reaching the I-10 on-ramp near Sorrento.
