Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Traffic is flowing down a new stretch of Staring Lane today, as work on the four-lane extension from Highland to Burbank was finished today.

At the ribbon cutting ceremony, Mayor Kip Holden thanked residents in the area for their patience.

Today's opening marks the 15th Greenlight Project to be completed in the parish.

The new road, bridge, lights, sound wall and sidewalks are just part of a bigger plan to get you out of traffic and off the roads faster.
