Geismar, La (NBC33) — After Thursday's explosion at the Williams Olefin's plant in Geismar, the Louisiana Bucket Brigade started taking surveys of people living near the plant.
The team went door-to-door and surveyed 67 people, asking them about any possible physical or emotional effects the incident may have caused them.
Forty-four of those surveyed say they've been out of sorts, scared or anxious since the explosion rocked their homes.
Governor Bobby Jindal says DEQ continues to monitor the air quality in and around the plant and does not expect any problems.
