Remington College 'cuts for a cause'
BATON ROUGE, LA. (NBC33) —
Remington College-Baton Rouge Campus is holding a food drive to benefit the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank and offering a complimentary haircut, manicure or pedicure to anyone who brings in a can of food or other non-perishable food donation.
The effort is called Cuts for Cause and will run throughout the month of November.
The complimentary salon services will be provided by students and instructors in the Remington College-Baton Rouge Campus cosmetology program.
"This is an opportunity for people to feel good as they help out needy families in our community, and look good when they leave with a new haircut," said Mike Smith, Remington College-Baton Rouge Campus President.
Appointments can be made by calling the Remington College School of Cosmetology at (225)291-4660; walk-ins are also welcome. Remington College School of Cosmetology is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The Remington College Cosmetology Program teaches students the art of hair, skin and nail care through traditional classroom instruction and hands-on training. Students have the opportunity to work with real clients in a salon-like setting.
Remington College School of Cosmetology is located at 4520 Sherwood Forest Blvd., Unit 001 in Baton Rouge.
