Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) —
Some of Baton Rouge's most recognizable sports radio personalities are in search of jobs tonight.
Several employees of Clear Channel Radio's 1210 AM "The Score" received emails yesterday, telling them their shows were cancelled.
Radio personalities, such as Jordy Hultberg, Jimmy Ott and Buddy Songy were shocked.
Buddy Songy said he was on his way to church when he got the message his talk show was being replaced with a gospel station.
"It's certainly mind boggling,” stated Songy. “Life is 10 percent what happens and 90 percent how you deal with it. People compare it to the Jarrett Lee - Jordan Jefferson deal...is it fair or not. But we're like him - team guys - and we ‘move on’ like an old coach used to say.”
Songy has already moved on. In fact, you can catch him now on 1590 Global Radio KKAY, starting Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
