Some 350 realtors and 150 affiliate members of the Greater Baton Rouge Association of Realtors are expected to attend the 2013 Realtor Day Expo today at the Belle of Baton Rouge Casino and Hotel in downtown Baton Rouge.

The even will take place from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

In recognition of the event’s positive impact on the city, Baton Rouge Mayor-President Kip Holden will proclaim today Realtor Day.

The first 200 entrants will receive a free purple event shirt, as part of celebrating the 2013 theme “It’s a Team Thing: Together We All Win”.

LSU Head Baseball Coach Paul Mainieri will give a keynote address, highlighting how the lessons he learned coaching championship winning teams can lead to success in all aspects of our lives.

“The area real estate market has been doing very well,” said Pat Wattam, GBRAR President. “The Realtor Day Expo is an opportunity for all of our members, from sales agents and brokers, to lenders, inspectors, appraisers, and other affiliates to come together, share ideas and network.”

This is the second consecutive year the Expo has been held downtown. Based on last year’s success, the Association decided to return to downtown Baton Rouge. The Expo has been held annually since 1990, and GBRAR is proud to be part of the city’s ongoing revitalization.

The event is open only to members of the Greater Baton Rouge Association of Realtors or another Realtor association. Those wishing to register for the event should visit the website www.gbrar.com.
