Progress on fixing North Flannery bridge comes to a halt
Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — East Baton Rouge Public Works crews were set to move closer to a final decision on the fate of the now closed bridge on North Flannery, but that investigation is on hold thanks to more bridge problems in the parish.
Interim public works Director William Daniel tells NBC33 News that the DOTD sent letters about three more bridges.
According to Daniel, the bridges don't need to be closed right away, but they need to be looked at. That's why crews couldn't continue looking into what to do with the bridge on North Flannery. The state ordered this bridge to close two weeks ago.
