A Baker home caught fire early this morning at around 1:30 a.m. on Tristain Drive.

Fire officials tell us there were four family members inside the house when it caught fire. One of them, a paraplegic, couldn't get out on his own.

A sergeant with the Baker Police Department went in to and rescued him.

NBC33 has been told that the sergeant told firefighters he was just doing his job, but now he has a renewed appreciation for firefighters now.

Thankfully, there were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
