KENNER, LA (WDUS) — Kenner police said a body that was found floating in a canal Thursday morning has been identified Kenneth Mason, 58.

The body was found floating in the canal near the intersection of Emerson Street at Northwestern Drive. We're told a school bus driver made the discovery, but no children were on the bus at the time.

Investigators removed Mason's body about 10:15 a.m. Police said no signs of trauma were visible. However, the Jefferson Parish coroner will perform an autopsy to determine a cause of death.
