Plaquemine Lock State Historic Site closed for four weeks

Due to a power failure in the Plaquemine Lock State Historic Site’s electrical breaker box, the site is closed until repairs can be made. A determination on the scope of the repairs is expected within the next week.

All programs for the next four weeks have been canceled, along with the daily tours of the site. Please contact the Office of State Park’s administrative office at (225) 342-8111, with any questions regarding the closure of the site.

Plaquemine Lock State Historic Site is located off of La. 1 in historic downtown Plaquemine 13 miles south of Baton Rouge and 19 miles north of Donaldsonville. Visit www.LaStateParks.com to learn more about the site and Louisiana State Parks.
