Baton Rouge, LA — Piccadilly Restaurants is teaming up with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) for their annual Paper Sneaker Sales Program to help raise money to find a cure for type 1 diabetes. From Wednesday, October 10 through Saturday, November 10, Piccadilly cashiers will be asking guests to buy a $1 paper sneaker to help support JDRF.
“Supporting our communities’ well-being is one of the core principals of Piccadilly Restaurants,” said Tom Sandeman, Piccadilly’s CEO. “This is certainly a cause that is close to our hearts. We are extremely proud to take part in the sneaker program that has helped us raise over $129,000 to aid in the fight against juvenile diabetes.”
Piccadilly also feels it is important to recognize contributing customers and help raise awareness for this important cause. All of the sneakers purchased will be proudly displayed in the restaurants with the names of the supporters on them. Proceeds from the sneaker sales will be donated directly to the local JDRF chapters to aid them in their research efforts to find a cure. In addition to sneaker sales, Piccadilly will be providing food to attendees of the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes in select markets.
