'Party for the Coast' takes place June 13; benefits Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana

New Orleans, La — The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana (CRCL) will celebrate its 25th anniversary with “Party for the Coast,” a special event highlighting Louisiana culture, food and fun, at Generations Hall in New Orleans on Thursday, June 13, 2013. Headlining the entertainment for the birthday celebration will be award-winning roots rock artists, The Honey Island Swamp Band.
Tickets are just $25, and can be purchased at www.crcl.org . Admission includes complimentary Abita Beer products, food provided by Deanie’s Seafood and Tony Chachere’s and access to a large silent auction for a wide variety of prizes related to Louisiana’s coast. All proceeds from the event benefit the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana.
“’Party for the Coast’ is an opportunity to bring people together and celebrate some of the many things we love about living on the coast,” said CRCL Executive Director Steven Peyronnin. “Everything about ‘Party for the Coast’ is homegrown: the music, the food and drink, the venue, even our sponsors are all businesses here in Louisiana. We want everyone to come out, enjoy the best that Louisiana has to offer, and support CRCL in our work to restore and protect a sustainable coastal Louisiana.”
Doors open for the event on June 13 at 6:00 p.m. and the party lasts until midnight.
An exciting array of auction items are available for bid at “Party for the Coast,” including unique prizes such as a seaplane fishing adventure to the Chandelier Islands or Gossier Island with Bourgeois Fishing Charters for redfish and speckled trout; an aerial guided tour of coastal Louisiana for two; a Kajun Custom Fishing kayak; a marsh kayak tour for four by Massey’s Professional Outfitters; and a Tony Chachere’s/Abita Beer/K2 Coolers party package– Tony Chachere’s cooking team and cooking trailer will deliver and serve prepared food and Abita Beer (root beer provided too) for your group or party, complete with K2 Coolers.
Generations Hall is located in the Warehouse District of New Orleans, near the Ernest Morial Convention Center at 310 Andrew Higgins Drive in New Orleans.
