Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Part of I-10 near Essen Lane was shut down on Wednesday evening because of flooding.

The high water was reported just after 5:00 p.m., usually when most people are in the middle of the evening drive home.

The right lane slowed to a crawl as police were keeping a close eye on the flooding.

The road was completely reopened some two hours after it closed. No injuries were reported.
