In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this Friday's Parkview vs. East Feliciana football game has been designated as the annual PINK game to benefit breast cancer research. There will be two special events in conjunction with the PINK game this week.

Raising Cane's on Siegen Lane has invited the entire community to eat on Thursday, October 4, anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Fifteen percent of the net sales from those who mention the Parkview PINK Game when they order will be donated to the event. The PBS spirit groups and band will be making a special appearance at Cane's on Seigen at 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening.

In addition, PBS invites all cancer survivors (not just breast cancer) to attend the Friday night football game at PBS free of charge. Kick-off is at 7:00 p.m. There will be a special reception for cancer survivors and their families during the second quarter followed by recognition of survivors on the field during halftime. An announcement will be made at the game with instructions for the reception. Please e-mail Meredith Holmes at meredith.holmes@parkviewbaptist.com if you or a family member who is a cancer survivor plans to attend.
