In East Baton Rouge Parish, an 18 year old man is facing rape charges tonight and the possibility of life in prison. Baker Police say Anthony Allen raped an eleven year old girl. We’re told the arrest was made with the help of the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office.
If convicted, Allen will spend the rest of his life in jail, without possibility of parole.

In Washington Parish, a mother is in jail, accused of killing her 15 month old son.
Authorities say little Joshua was brought to the hospital back on September first, where he died. The cause of death was ruled to be severe brain trauma. Now, investigators say the story the baby’s mom Heather Bennett told wasn't consistent with the injuries the baby had. Bennett was arrested yesterday. She's charged with First Degree Murder,

In Ascension Parish, DOTD officials say they’re looking at expanding a stretch of interstate from Highland Road to LA Highway 22 in Ascension Parish to three lanes in each direction. Authorities say it'll be next year before DOTD even has any designs.
About 60,000 people use that part of the interstate every day. No word on how much the project could cost.
