In Acadia Parish, a man who's been wanted by police for a year and half is behind bars now. Police in Crowley say Lester Berry. Jr., 41, was wanted on a string of theft charges. He's accused of stealing a former employee's car and business deposit. We're told Berry was tracked through other parts of the country trying to make his get away, but ended up being caught when he made his way back to Crowley. He's charged with Felony Theft and Theft of a Motor Vehicle.

In Livingston Parish, Denham Springs Police are looking for the person who stole several items from homes following Hurricane Isaac. The suspect was caught on surveillance camera at one of the homes. He's a white male, muscular build, with short brown hair, side burns, and tattoos. Authorities say he drives a dark colored Chevrolet Z71 pickup. Call Crime Stoppers at 344-STOPif you have any information that can help investigators find him.

In Orleans Parish, a dog that was separated from his family during Hurricane Katrina is being returned to Louisiana. A North Carolina family adopted the poodle named Shorty from a local shelter six years ago. But, they hey let Shorty outside a couple of weeks ago, and he never came back. Someone found the dog and took him to an animal clinic, where the vet found his microchip and called his Louisiana owners. Arrangements are being made now to get Shorty back home as soon as possible.
