East Baton Rouge - One person is dead after a crash in Baton Rouge. It happened around noon on Hiawatha Street. Witnesses tell nbc33 news the driver crashed into a telephone pole. The driver died at the scene. The crash is still being investigated by Baton Rouge police.

West Baton Rouge - A gun club was broken into, now deputies say lots of guns are missing. It happened at hunters run gun club in Port Allen. Deputies say owners noticed the guns missing when they got to work. It's thought to have happened back on April 14th. The shotguns that were taken are used for skeet shooting. Caddo - Some lucky chimps got the gift of a lifetime from a television legend. Bob Barker, the host of The Price is Right for thirty five years, will forever have his name on the “Bob Barker Chimpanzee Habitat” at Chimp Haven. Barker funded the construction of the facility, which will house five male chimps which had been kept in cages for bio-medical research. Barker says seeing the chimps in their new home is a feeling he'll never forget. Mr. Barker's giving didn't end with today’s unveiling. After already donating nearly 400 thousand to build the habitat Bob Barker presented a surprise check for one hundred and twenty thousand dollars.

Pointe Coupee - The city of New Roads has been named a 2012 playful city. The designation came by the national non-profit organization Kaboom. They're dedicated to helping local governments address the play deficit most kids are facing. New Roads was picked for the dedication to play. New Roads is now eligible for as much as 30 thousand dollars in grant money.
