Tangipahoa - These two are locked up after deputies say they had a working meth lab. James and Tracy Luper were booked earlier this week. The arrests came after a month long investigation! Deputies say a search of the home in Kentwood turned up a meth lab, and several things used to make the drug. We're told there was also a lot of meth inside the residence.

Livingston - President Layton Ricks said he's ready to bring new people on board. Those people include a finance director and a director of the Office of Emergency Preparedness. Ricks say he'll appoint Jennifer Mayers as the finance director and Mark Harrell as the OEP director. Both people still need to be approved by the parish council. No word when that will happen. Layton appointed James Tullier as OEP director a month after taking office, but he resigned just last month.

East Baton Rouge - November elections may still be months away, but the EBR Registrar of Voters is already getting ready for voter registration drives. Ten drives are set up in libraries all across the parish next week. It's part of voter education week. Reps with the registrar of voters will be on hand to answer questions, as well as help voters register or change their address. We have the list of locations on our website

That's a look at what's happening - parish by parish.
