BATON ROUGE, La.-(NBC33) — Assumption - This 53 year old locked up tonight on an aggravated rape charge. Deputies say an 11 year old girl wrote a letter saying she was raped three years ago! Deputies say the girl was raped by Charles Wilkerson while he was babysitting the girl. He's in the Assumption Parish detention center tonight.
Tangipahoa - This man locked up and accused of hitting two people with his car. 42 year old Charles Spedale hit the two people earlier this week on Loranger Road in Loranger. Deputies say Spedale told them he was scared so he left the scene. The victims are still in critical condition. Spedale is charged with hit and run and failure to report an accident.
East Baton Rouge - The prosecution in the case against Baton Rouge rapper Lil Boosie say they want a handwriting sample. The rapper also known as Torrence Hatch is accused of first degree murder in the death of Terry Boyd. He was back in court today for a hearing before his murder trial begins on April 30.
Lafayette - Two Lafayette city parish councilmen wore hoodies to last night's meeting. Councilmen Kenneth Boudreaux and Brandon Shelvin say they wore hoodies to raise awareness about racial profiling. This as people are taking part in demonstrations across the country over the death of Trayvon Martin, a black teenager who was shot and killed by a neighborhood watch captain in Sanford Florida.
